A Mediterranean diet-rich in fruits,vegetables,nuts,whole grains,olive oil and fish,but low in red meat,alcohol and dairy products-can do wonders.Italian researchers,who reviewed data on eating habits of 1.5million people who were tracked over a period of 3 to 18 years,found that there was a 9 percent drop in death from heart disease,13 percent decline in incidence of Parkinson's and Alzheimer's disease,and 6 percent reduction in cancer among people who followed a Mediterranean diet.Overall drop in mortality was 9 percent...
